The 122 South Africans evacuated from the COVID-19 epicentre Wuhan will arrive in the country on Friday.
The group will be quarantined at the Ranch Resort just outside Polokwane for up to 21 days.
The government has stressed that the 122 are not sick, however even with that assurance people are not happy with the decision to locate them in Limpopo.
Clement Manyathela chats to Limpopo premier Stanley Mathabatha and EWN reporter Ahmed Kajee to give more insight on the matter.
People will have reservations when they don’t have information. What we are doing now is makes sure that we give out as much information as possible. We are not importing the coronavirus here, we are bringing citizens who are healthy.—
Stanley Mathabatha, Premier – Limpopo
Kajee says things are relatively calm in Polokwane while people are waiting for the arrival of those South Africans.
